Dear Sir or Madam:
I am very interested to see your requirement for a Java/J2EE Expert with focus as a Solutions Architect/Team Leader/Designer. I have been seeking just such an opportunity as this, and I think my background and your requirements may be a good match. BASE Logic, Inc. is my own California/Nevada based corporation and I am seeking Corp. to Corp terms for a contract basis. I am available to travel and/or to relocate anywhere in North America, UK and Europe, and have relevant experience with high profile projects in London and Zurich. I have also worked with many reputable consultancies worldwide including IBM Global Services UK & US, Oracle Consulting Services, PriceWatehouseCoopers, HP Consulting Services.
Most of my recent projects have tasked me to help the team move to a more AGILE development process or integrate to an existing process. This challenged me to help properly assess time-boxing, and SCRUM meeting, work break-down structures, as well as formalize and refine the developers test-driven development (TDD) practices. This often included identifying water-fall scenarios and mentoring the team member on TDD best practices and testing methodologies.
My test-driven, and development activities have include a broad usage of the J2SE/J2EE stack including extensive open-source projects and frameworks. My most recent project included creating a complex Maven build system with a separate DAO Model artifacts and separate CXF/Axis Webservices. The data access was a Generics based pattern, wired with Spring and JPA/Hibernate. Using DBUnit, H2, and MySql, I was able to test 83% of the services through the Maven build. Then using Axis, CXF, TestNG, EasyMock, embedded Tomcat and embedded Selenium, I was able to test over 70% of our webservices, JMS/MDP’s and user screens. I have worked extensively in the financial industry with stock trading, FX, credit card services, lending (commercial and retail), and pension management. I also have considerable experience in healthcare, insurance, start-ups and the telecommunications industry.
